Blurb from Second Sunrise Cowboy (Book 8, Second Chance Series)

Dakota Childs stood at the cemetery in the rain on an unbelievably cold Texas afternoon. She’d quit her job and used up most of her cash to get here to say farewell to her beloved aunt. The last thing she needed or wanted was anyone’s pity, but when the tall, sexy stranger in worn hat and boots pulled out the umbrella, and offered her a place to stay, she couldn’t think of one good reason not to accept. When he steered his pale blue eyes her way, she was mesmerized…and instantly rethought her plans of leaving the small town.

Cash Bailey loved his daughter, but being a single father could be trying and downright confusing. He had no clue how young girls dressed, or how to braid hair or the importance of picking out matching shoes. Physically, he missed having someone to hold. Emotionally, he missed having someone to love—
what he’d lost when his wife died five years ago. Then in pops Dakota, her expressive eyes and innocent smile triggers something deep and intense in him. She’s giving, beautiful and braids hair like a champ. For the first time in a long time, he has an opportunity for happiness, but why can’t he shake the guilt?

When things start to heat up on Havens Ranch, Dakota faces a decision that will change her life forever. Will Cash finally break his internal chains and accept the emotions in his heart, or lose happiness for a second time?

Second Sunrise Cowboy

Excerpt:
CASH STARED AT the petite blonde sitting on the throne staring at him with the most expressive eyes and pale complexion he’d ever seen. “Are you using that or just sitting?”
“Oh…do you need to use it?” She jumped up and swiped a hand over the lid. “I was just—”
“Eavesdropping?” He lifted a brow, finding it interesting that her cheeks turned a pretty pink.
She blinked. “I wasn’t eavesdropping. You caught me in the bathroom and before I could announce myself, well, you had company.” Her tongue slipped out, sliding across her cherub’s bow bottom lip. His dick jerked and he growled under his breath.
“So you heard, and saw, it all?” He rubbed his forehead. Getting embarrassed didn’t happen often for him, and he certainly wasn’t now, but he couldn’t deny he was a bit put off. He didn’t know what it was about this woman, but she put him on edge.
“I’m sorry. I saw a little,” she admitted.
He liked her honesty, but it didn’t change the fact that she didn’t make her presence known. “What that was, let’s just say, it’s a little messy.”
She shrugged and some of her natural color returned. “It’s okay. I won’t tell anyone. Should I leave so you two can finish?”
“It’s already finished.” Oops, there went her color again. Yeah, she thought he wanted to screw Lanie. He guessed that would be an easy assumption and he didn’t owe Dakota an explanation, but sleeping with Lanie was the last thing on his mind.

“Thank goodness.”

GIVEAWAY!!! Win a Paperback!

Excerpt from Second Sunrise Cowboy:

Cash stepped closer into the small space of the bathroom and she inhaled his masculine scent.  He gripped the edge of the sink, caging her between his thick, muscular arms.
“Would you hate me if I kissed you?” His gaze held hers.
His husky voice made her heart skip several beats. “I-I…no, I could never hate you.” Before she knew what was happening, he dragged his arms around her, pulling her against his chest and his heated breath caressed her cheek.  She shivered and it had nothing to do with the cold. The apex of her thighs quivered as she reached up and buried her fingers into his cotton covered shoulders, clinging to him as her knees weakened. As she stared at him, she waited for what he did next.
“I don’t know you, but I sure as hell want you,” he said on a ragged tone.
This made no sense at all. He came home a different man. Sure, she saw something had changed in him, and she could chalk it up to the fact that he’d caught her partially naked in his bathroom. But this was far from a moment. There was a deep tension rolling through him and it seeped from his every pore.
A scorching heat traveled between them when he lowered his mouth to her ear and whispered, “You smell so good. It’s been a long time since I smelled something so sweet.”
She shivered from her hair roots to the tips of her toes. “You don’t smell so bad yourself, cowboy.” She’d never been good at seduction. She had no idea if her words were corny or did the trick, but the bulge rubbing her thigh told her he didn’t care what she said.
“If you don’t want—”
“I want,” she said a little too quickly. Yeah, she’d definitely have to work on holding back some.
He pressed her between his large body and the counter, smoothing his hands down her back. His fingers dug into her skin. A long breath came through his lips, as if he were holding back. She saw the evidence of his chaos in the depth of his sparkling eyes. They were the clearest blue, as if they were their own special color.
“The look in your eyes is almost damn near ripping out my insides.”
She tilted her chin. “That sounds painful.”

“Oh trust me. It’s painful, but so damn right at the same time.”

GIVEAWAY! Keychain!

WIN a Leather For Two keychain!
 Excerpt!

He dropped his free hand to my knee and slowly moved his fingers along the quivering flesh between our bodies. My crease throbbed and an irrefutable craving built inside of me. I knew it had always been there and he only disturbed it from the cave—uncovered it like a hidden treasure chest that I’d buried long ago. His fingers moved to the elastic of my panties, rolling the wide pad of a finger along the seam. I knew I should make him stop. He would if I asked, but for the life of me, I wanted more. I wanted him inside of me. “Do you like this, sweetheart?”
“Yessss!” I relaxed my muscles. Parts of me stirred alive. Fire lapped at my veins. I opened my knees wider, gyrating the apex of my thighs against the bulge in his jeans. Tingles moved at the pace of thick molasses through my secret parts until spasms took over. His finger continued creating havoc on the pearl nested in my pussy lips. A tremor scorched through my muscles and I squeezed my legs around his sides while deep moans slipped from my lips. I tucked my face into his shoulder as heat washed over my skin.

“Before long I will have you in my bed. Wet and pleading for me to put out the fire consuming your intoxicating body. But it won’t happen now, not until your mind and body are on the same page. I want more than a fuck.”

GIVEAWAY!!!!! $5 GC

Naughty has a price.

And the Stone sisters are willing to pay whatever it takes to get their cowboy.

Like sassy heroines and rough and tough cowboys? Then you'll love this series, Rhinestone Cowgirls.

I'm tossing in part of Chapter 1 of Book 3, Pressure Point. Hope you like it. Make sure you enter the Rafflecopter.

EMERALD STONE AWOKE to warmth against her hip. She snuggled deeper into the inviting nest as prickles feathered across the back of her thigh, tickling her. She whimpered in protest, scratched her leg, and rolled to her stomach.
Her blankets had grown hair. The bed had turned lumpy and the sun’s rays were unusually bright coming through the bedroom window. Had she forgotten to shut the blinds?
Squeezing her lids tightly, she groaned in irritation, refusing to give in to the restlessness. She wasn’t ready to welcome the day. After last night’s shindig, her temples ached and her tongue felt like a cotton ball. Her stomach gurgled loudly in validation that she’d drunk too much—way too much. However, it wasn’t every day her sister got married.
Yup, she’d definitely need another good three or four hours before she faced the world.
Throwing one arm over her head, she welcomed another sexy dream of a cowboy. Not just any cowboy either, but one in particular. Nash Walters. She’d had no idea her next door neighbor had those kind of moves…on the dance floor.
She smiled and started to drift. Birds chirped loudly. Were they right above her head?
“Go away,” she mumbled. Who let a bird in the house? If her sisters did this as a joke, Em would pay them back tenfold!
The downshift drumming of a truck engine sounded on the lane and the distant hum of a lawnmower vibrated her eardrums. The strong scent of freshly mowed grass floated under her nose—and something else….
Shifting to her side, she threw her leg over the body pillow. Rubbing her cheek against the surface, she expected softness and the scent of fresh rain fabric softener. Instead, her favorite pillow smelled like spice and leather, felt hard—and had a heartbeat.
A heartbeat?
Every muscle in her body tensed.
What had she done? Scrolling through the fuzzy memories of last night, she thought over each one. Dancing…drinking…laughing.  Nash naked.
A naked Nash?
Oh no!
Slowly lifting a finger, she jabbed her pillow. Pillows don’t have nipples! And they don’t moan when poked.
Cocking one eye open, she stared into an explicit, bright sky.
Sky?
She jerked up as her heart skipped a good ten beats. “Where the hell am I?” she whispered.
Another deep moan sounded from beside her. She closed her eyes shut. This must be a dream. Counting to ten, forward then backward, she finally opened her eyes. Oh shit! The stark reality that she wasn’t alone smacked her in the face. She wasn’t at home in her bed. She was in the bed of her truck, a horse blanket covering her, with the horse trailer hitched to the back.
Panic crawled down her spine as she peeked over her shoulder. Her mouth fell open and her skin scorched. Lying beside her, stretched out in all his fine, naked glory…Nash Walters

Win! Win! Win! $10 Amazon Gift Card!!!

Pressure Point is now available for pre-order. Don''t forget to enter the Rafflecopter below!

Emerald ‘Em’ Stone wakes up in bed, but not the one she expected.

Lying next to her is a naked cowboy and she isn’t sure how he got there. Slipping back into her wrinkled bridesmaid dress, she starts her plan into action. She has somewhere to be and no time for a cowboy, even if he is wickedly sexy from head to toe.

Nash Walters is wearing only his hat and a five o’clock shadow when a disgruntled Em takes him hostage. She plans to steal a horse and he becomes her unwilling, and very naked, accomplice. The blanket he finds buried in the truck fits him like a skirt, but at least his jewels are covered.

He knew from the start the youngest Stone sister was nothin’ but trouble, and he has time to think it over when she lands him in jail. He isn’t sure if he wants to spread Em over his knee and spank her or kiss the hell out of her. She is the most infuriating woman he’s ever come across, and yet he can’t get enough.

Em is perfectly naughty and strong-willed, and has no plans of changing. She swore off men and relationships, simply because no man is capable of handling her—until Nash. He has life by the balls and he’s aiming to settle down, start a family, and when he sets his sights on Em, she isn’t sure if she should run far away or into his wide, accepting arms.

Can Nash tame the beautiful Stone sister? Or will she bring him to his knees?

Excerpt:
“We’re still not done.”
I sighed and plopped back down. “There’s more?”
He swallowed. “Come to the memorial tomorrow and I’ll give you the envelope.”
“I-I can’t. I’m working. Not only that, but I’m sure I’m no longer welcome. I could be walking into a disaster.”
“No one hates you. Except maybe me.” He snorted.
My breath held. “Is that true?”
“Maybe a little,” he answered.
“Then why would you want me to come to the memorial?”
“Because I want to see that sexy ass,” he growled the words.
My cheeks burned. Blaze never did own a filter. “Now you’re making fun of me.” I looked at him through the veil of my lashes. He was still handsome—mysteriously so.
“Honey, I’d never make fun of something as sweet as your ass. I did notice it’s as tight as ever, even in the nun outfit.”
“This isn’t a nun’s outfit!”
“Have you missed me at all, sweetheart?”
My stomach did a triple flip. I slid my clammy palms down the skirt. I could lie, but then again, I couldn’t. “I’ve thought about you, us, many times.”
“You sent the cards,” he said. “Didn’t you?”
“Yes, I did.”
“Why?”
“Because I wanted to wish you a happy birthday.” My heart skipped.
“Damn, Bambi. I didn’t think it was you. Hell, I’d hoped.” He blew out a breath through his tight lips. He left the couch and dropped to his knees in front of me—bringing back memories of another time. I didn’t resist as he pressed my body into the cushion, caging me with his iron-hard length. Springs popped as he leaned closer. I inhaled his scent and my head spun. I pulled away but I couldn’t go far. My body ached for him.
“I can’t allow you to do this to me.”
“What, sweetheart?” he whispered.
“Make me lose all sanity. I don’t want this again.”
“Your eyes tell me something very different,” he whispered. His breath swept across my cheek. “I think you want me to take you to places you’ve never been.”
“My eyes are telling you to fuc—”
He pressed his finger against my lips. “Tsk, tsk, schoolteacher. What vile language you have.” His eyes sparkled. “Don’t make me put you over my knee and spank you.” His words held promise and my toes curled. The thought of his hand on my bare ass did pleasant and naughty things to my secret places.
I could only stare. My eyes filled with tears and my body awakened from years of being in a comatose state. His talent of disorienting me never ceased to amaze me. Why could no man erupt such a powerful force within me as Blaze could? I understood the influence he had on me, my body. He could drag me down a heated path of uncertainty and I’d go willingly.
He threaded his fingers into my hair and the clip snapped, a lot like the unlocking of the gates guarding my heart. The locks fell to my shoulders and across his tanned arm. I noticed the tattoo of a cross wound in ivy. I looked closer and my mouth fell open. “Blaze, my name, it’s in the tattoo.” My heart beat so loud it vibrated my eardrums.
“Yes. I got it after you left. Two of my favorite things. You and faith.”
I couldn’t hold my emotion any longer.
“Aww, now. Don’t cry, baby. If I see tears, I’ll have to lick them away, one by one, and I don’t think I could stop there. I’ve been dreaming of tasting all of you.”
I jerked and tried closing my legs, but he stayed between them. He moved deeper, spreading my hips wider. His belt buckle rubbed my inner thighs, exploding a burning need in my core. I pushed the heel of my hands into his chest. I wanted to be angry. I wanted to fight the urgency within me—the driving desire pushing me to let myself fall into him. The boundaries were slipping. “I’ve never wanted anything as much as I want to give in.” The cloud of desire welcomed me, enclosing me in its warmth and comfort.
“Remember when I told you how I wanted to sink myself deep into you? To hear you call my name. I wanted you to rip your nails into my skin and mark your territory, just as you marked my soul with your sweet love. I’ve thought about it over and over—thought about the things I could have done differently. And now, I’m lost. I’m brainwashed in your fucking heat, Rena. I want to ease this torture in my body.”
The moment turned tense. “I’m sure you’ve had plenty of help easing the strain behind your zipper.” I hated my bitter words that sounded like jealousy. I was jealous. I hated knowing another woman touched him, brought him pleasure. I squeezed my hands into fists, dragging the leather material of his cut between my fingers.
“I’m glad to see you’re still green-eyed with jealousy.” He winked.
“You’re a pig!” I pounded his chest, but not hard. Not enough to send him backward. I didn’t want him going anywhere.
He grabbed my wrists and held them easily in one hand, tight against his chest. He lowered his face so close that our noses touched. “There’s nothing to keep us apart now. You know why I came. And you’re glad I’m here.”
“What do you want?” The words slipped through my trembling lips. Would he kiss me?
“The same thing you want. What is that, baby? Say it…”
“I’ve always been weak when it came to you. My body wants your touch, but my mind is screaming that this can’t happen. I can’t go back.”
“Before long I will have you in my bed. Wet and pleading for me to put out the fire consuming your intoxicating body. But it won’t happen now, not until your mind and body are on the same page. I want more than a fuck.”
“That’ll never happen,” I whispered, but doubt remained. I looked at him, knowing I had no control when it came to him.
He smirked. His gaze held mine for a good three seconds, then he stood and adjusted his bulging fly. The evidence of his desire made my body tremble. My pussy lips shuddered and moisture flooded my panties, again.
“I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want. You’ll have to ask.” His confidence never wavered.
My blood boiled. “I won’t see you again.” I looked up at him, hoping he couldn’t see the feelings burrowed in my body that ached for him.
“That’s your choice. The memorial is tomorrow at six.” He strolled toward the door. “I think you’re curious enough to be there. There has to be some of the old Rena left in that prim and proper body of yours.” He brought his hand to his nose and inhaled deeply, a playful smile covering his lips.

New Cowboy! 99 cents! Enter rafflecopter!

Anyone who reads my books can tell you that I write characters with issues. From surviving domestic violence. Sexual dysfunction. Sexual dry spells. Low self-esteem. Divorce. Loss of a child. I could go on and on.

For almost a year I had a story idea rolling around inside of my head. I knew the heroine had suffered a brief marriage where her husband was cruel and degrading to her. I knew she would leave her small town and end up at a place...similar to paradise. But I kept sitting on the story because it wasn't clicking. Have you had those stories?

One morning in church, yes church, the pastor mentioned that we should all have an island of our dreams where we can go and get 'fixed.' And it came to me. Imagine an island full of sexy cowboys willing to wait on women hand and foot. Wouldn't we all pay big bucks to visit? And then a light bulb went off over my head. I knew what I was going to do with my story I had shelved away inside of my brain.

Cowboys of Nirvana was born. What can be better than ranch hands giving riding lessons? Fishing? Cooking lessons?

First up is Cowboy Paradise.

Blurb:
Exhausted with carrying around the weight of a damaged past, Cara is ready to take the ultimate step in finding her old self, before she met and married her evil husband. She needs to get away from the small town where rumors are spinning and people know her. When she visits Nirvana Ranch, an R&R, she realizes life isn't as bleak as she thought.

Ben is missing something. He doesn’t feel the excitement he once did as a ranch hand at Nirvana, until he meets Cara and his world is turned upside down.
Cara didn’t expect her life to change the moment sexy and rugged Ben walks into her life. Parts of her are flaming hot for cowboy, and she has an opportunity to break the rules, something her husband never allowed. Ben triggers her every fantasy and every desire. She’s on the ride of her life and it doesn’t require a saddle.
What started as a strong urge to take Cara to a new level of passion becomes much, much more for Ben. Cara’s touch destroys the boundaries he’d built—exposing a secret of his own, a past of heartache and guilt.
Warning: Read at your own risk of falling for a cowboy.

Welcome to the Ranch!

Cowboy Redeemed – Book 3

Unlike his brothers, Clayton Mathis isn’t looking for the woman of his dreams. He works hard, plays harder, and enjoys every minute of it. And with his family preparing to expand Shadow Maverick Ranch, settling down is the last thing on his mind—until a sexy blonde makes him an offer he can’t refuse.

Of all the men in the bar, Ainsley Russell has to go and proposition the one man who will cause her nothing but trouble. The Mathis family has been persistent in their bid to buy her property. Inheriting her uncle’s ranch has given her the first home she’s ever known … along with a mountain of debt that threatens to take it all away.

After learning Clay’s identity, Ainsley can’t run fast enough. Or far enough … since the gorgeous cowboy shows up on her doorstep the next morning, looking to pick up where they left off the night before…

Excerpt:

“So, how about it?” He stuck his hand out. “Have we got a deal?”
Ainsley studied his tanned face. The sharp angle of his jaw, the curve of his nose, eyes dark as coffee. He stared at her with a mixture of interest and amusement. There was no indication he was anything but sincere.
No sense fighting the inevitable. She’d started them down this path when she’d tried to pick him up last night. They were adults. And she wanted him.
“I planned to make spaghetti tonight.”
“My favorite.”
“None of that store-bought crap. I make my own sauce from ingredients out of my garden.”
“Even better.” He twitched his hand. “You gonna leave me hanging?”
Her sex clenched. Oh no, she wouldn’t leave him hanging. Not now, not later. She placed her hand in his and gave it a shake. “You’ve got a deal, but this is the last time you pull a stunt like this. If I need something fixed, I’ll take care of it. This ranch, this house—both are my responsibility. Got it?”
Even as she scolded him, a strange sense of satisfaction settled in her chest. She would take care of him tonight, in more ways than one. Her hands would create something to sustain him, while later, those same hands would give him relief—a massage for his strained muscles—and release—while she stroked him.
Ainsley wasn’t a girly-girl, but the innately feminine part of her purred at the knowledge she’d know him intimately before the day was through.
Clay jerked her against him, brows lifted. “What’re you thinking about, Ains? ’Cause I gotta tell you, the sexy expression on your face has me intrigued.”
The way he shortened her name made her heart flutter. She curled her arms around his neck and went up on her toes. “I’m thinking I’ve got a half-naked, sweaty cowboy all to my little ole self.”
The arrogant, panty-melting smirk made a reappearance. “That right? What’re you gonna do about it?”
Ainsley didn’t wait for him to take the lead. She dove in, lips first, and took the kiss she craved.
Clay didn’t disappoint. She half expected him to wrestle her for control. He didn’t. Instead, he kept his hold on her firm, but not pushy. His mouth opened at her insistence, and he seemed content to let her explore—his teeth, his tongue, his lips—to her heart’s content.
And explore she did. Not only with her mouth. She speared her fingers through his sweat-soaked hair and massaged his scalp with her fingertips. She traced the curve of his ear, tugging slightly when she reached the lobe. His broad shoulders were slick and hard. The light smattering of dark chest hair tickled her palms as she moved over the curves of his pecs. She took her time, learned what he liked by the rumble in his chest.
When she swiped a thumb over the flat disc of his nipple, his breath hitched. He stilled her roaming hands, nipped her bottom lip, and pulled away.
“Unless you’re prepared for me to fuck you right here in the dirt, your clever little hands better take a rest.”
She blinked. “What if I said I wanted you to fuck me right here in the dirt?”
He groaned and dropped his forehead to hers. “I’d say you’re an evil woman. I’d say give me the word and I’ll have you on your hands and knees. I’ll yank your shorts down and shove my dick so far inside you, you’ll feel me for a week. And I won’t give a shit if anyone sees us.”

PRESSURE RISING (Book 2, Rhinestone Cowgirls) January 7, 2015

All hell broke loose inside of her as he rolled the tip of his tongue along the inside of her mouth. His fingers threaded through her damp hair, tangling in the mass, lifting her head at a perfect angle so he could reach deeper.
He tasted good. He felt even better. The scent of his soap and the clean fragrance of rain mingled underneath her nose, making her nipples tight.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, dragging him closer, pressing her breasts against his hard chest.
His teeth nibbled at one corner of her mouth, scraping gently along the curve of her bottom lip. A vision of him nibbling her pussy lips made her scorch with heat as a strong desire to be one with him washed through her. Her core ached for fiery release.
All trepidation faded from her.
His kiss slowed and he pulled back. She whimpered in disappointment and opened her eyes. His gaze was filled with longing and she wanted him right then and there, not caring that earlier that week she could have wrung his neck.
“Darlin’, I don’t think one kiss will be enough.”
A hot shiver raced across her flesh. “No?”
“Uh-uh.” His eyes turned a shade darker and he sucked in a deep breath.
“Where are we headed here, DJ?”
“I have plans to lick every part of your delectable body. Is that a problem?”
She couldn’t have turned him down if her life depended on it. She unfastened the top button of his shirt, then another. “I like that idea.”
He smoothed his hands along her bare leg to the top of one cowgirl boot and pulled it off her foot. He gave it a toss and it landed with a thump to the floor. Then he removed the other. “You’re making me crazy, woman.”
Undoing the rest of his buttons, her mouth watered at the sight of his bare chest and flat stomach.  “God, I’ve never seen a better body.”
He chuckled and it vibrated his chest. “I don’t think I’ve ever been more flattered.” His eyes twinkled.
She tugged his shirttail from his jeans and helped him slip the material from his shoulders. He had nice, large shoulders that could carry a lot of weight. “Is there any part of you that isn’t toned?”
“Well, you haven’t seen all of me yet, sweetheart.” He smoothed the back of his knuckles along her cheek.
“I’ve seen this part.” She squeezed his ass, careful not to hurt his wounded cheek. “That’s definitely in shape. About the only thing I haven’t seen is buried deep in those jeans, and from the looks of that bulge, I don’t think I’ll be a disappointed woman.”
He sucked in a breath. “Are you sure you want this?”
“I not only want it, I’m craving it.” She moistened her lips. “It’s been a long time for me, DJ. I hope I can satisfy you.”
He blinked. “Darlin’, I’m satisfied just looking at you. Trust me, neither of us will have a problem.” He tucked a tendril of her hair behind her ear. “How long has it been?”
“Too long,” she whimpered.
“I don’t want to make you feel like this is all I want. We don’t have to—”
She covered his mouth with her finger. “Don’t, DJ. I want this. I’ve been waiting a long time to feel this way.”
“I’m privileged to break the dry spell.” He winked. “I’ll take very good care of you, sweetheart.” He nuzzled his nose against her cheek.
She scraped her nails down his back. “How fast can we get the rest of the clothes off your body?” She couldn’t wait to see his goodies.
